Harris Environmental provided a Class III survey along a 100-meter-wide linear corridor of the Pony Express National Historic Trail in western Utah. Within the 4,482 acres surveyed, we identified and recorded trail traces, wagon routes, staging areas, and station buildings associated with the historic Pony Express mail service or the Overland Trail, Deliverables for this project included site forms, spatial data, and a report to assist the BLM in identifying, evaluating, and understanding the location, nature, and National Register of Historic Places eligibility of cultural resources within the identified portions of the Pony Express National Historic Trail.
